Ever wondered how a group of GPs, health professionals and others decide how they’ll spend millions of your money and mine on keeping us all healthier?
Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is currently on target to become fully authorised from the 1 April 2013 when the group takes on its mission to improve the health of 219,000 people registered with 27 GP practices in and around Swindon.
They will also have responsibilty for commissioning just over £234m of local health services.
In the meantime the CCG shadow board is, formally, a sub-group of NHS Swindon. And it next meets in public on Wednesday 16 January at 9.30am at Blunsdon House Hotel
NHS Swindon/Gloucestershire says: "Due to compliance with Fire Regulations spaces are limited for members of the public wishing to attend the Swindon CCG Shadow Board. Members of the public wishing to attend must reserve seats in advance. To attend, please register your interest on 0300 421 1626 or email email@example.com"
