Another performer from the town is hoping to bring fame to Swindon when she takes part in the grand finals of the Open Mic UK Live and UnSigned competition at the O2 Arena, London on 19 January.
Dorcan School pupil Charlie-Anne Bradfield, 14, from Nythe, won the place at the regional finals in Bristol in October with a three and a half minute acoustic performance of her own song which is called UnNamed which blended seamlessly with a cover of Crazy by Ceelo Green.
Before Christmas Charlie-Anne took part in the inSwindon Christmas lights switch on evening on 5 December, performing in front of some of the 28,000 people crammed into the Wharf Green area to see X Factor finalist Jahmene Douglas and his mentor Nicole Scherzinger.
Charlie-Anne takes any opportunity to perform at charity events and during the Autumn supported the Swindon Open Door Centre and Goldenhar Family support group.
Since qualifying for the grand final she’s been working on which tunes will show off her undoubted talents to the judges.
The final on 19 January has a twist as the public are being asked to find the winner.
