Chris Miller, Style Director at Miller & Holland Hairdressing in Swindon’s Old Town is doing 50 haircuts back-to-back over 50 hours in a bid to raise thousands for Tami’s Wish, the organisation set up to continue the work of Tami Brown, a Swindon girl who sadly lost her life to cancer in July 2012.
The aim of Tami’s Wish is set to raise thousands for her two nominated charities, Yes to Life and The Prospect Hospice.
The event will be in the first shop (behind Lush) at the entrance to the Brunel Centre in Swindon town centre starting on Saturday 8 September, 9am. The haircutting ultra-marathon will finish on Monday 10 September, 11am. Cuts are £50 each and you can now book your slot online. Be quick places will go fast!
Also available over the weekend, other businesses will be providing extra services in exchange for donations. You will be able to get your nails done, have a mini-massage, take part in kids face painting and much much more.
During the day on the Saturday and Sunday, there will also be live music from a selection of Tami’s favourite local musicians.
The day will be raising money for two charities. All of the cut donations will be going to Yes to Life. All of the on-the-day donations for all services around the 50 cuts challenge will be going to the Prospect Hospice.
