A ‘small army’ of toddlers marched around a park in July, in aid of disadvantaged youngsters.
The Robert Le Kyng Children’s Centre, based in Westcott Place, took part in the annual Big Toddle to support children’s charity Barnardo’s.
The half-mile sponsored walk featured a lap around the nearby Faringdon Road Park.
Dozens of children and their parents enjoyed the free fun, which was followed by a teddy bear’s picnic and a ‘mini-Olympics’.
The Robert Le Kyng Children’s Centre is managed by Barnardo’s South West on behalf of Swindon Borough Council.
Children’s centre co-ordinator Di Drinkwater said: “The Big Toddle is a fantastic event as it’s all about children helping children.
“Everyone was really excited about taking part, and it was a good opportunity for parents to get to know each other in a fun setting.”
The Robert Le Kyng Children’s Centre provides links to parenting advice and support, childminding, health services and job opportunities for families with children under five years old. Call 01793 525830.
