Ice hockey fever back in Swindon as Wildcats celebrate 25th year of action at Link Centre
The 2010/2011 ice hockey season is upon us and the Swindon Wildcats chase for the English Premier League title is sure to have everyone enthralled again.
Last season’s spectacular closing games saw record crowds at Link Centre and we want that support to continue from the first games to help the Cats reach the top.
Ice hockey is a fast and furious spectacle and the Wildcats – one of the fastest growing sports clubs in the South of England – pride themselves on providing a great gameday experience.
Link Centre offers great views of the action, free car parking, excellent catering facilities and a tremendously family friendly atmosphere.
The Wildcats play against such teams as Manchester, Sheffield, Guildford as well as local rivals Bracknell and Basingstoke. The excitement at home games is infectious and game attendances have been rising every season for the last five years, with new people coming along to enjoy the spectacle on a weekly basis.
Home games are generally played on a Saturday from September until March with a 5.45pm faceoff. Fixtures and club information can be found at www.swindonwildcats.com
