Swindon Youth Piano Festival on 1 April, 7pm to 9.30pm, features 31 young people aged 7 to 17 years from across Swindon, performing a range of pieces, from the theme tune of Sherlock to Prelude by Debussy, at Swindon Arts Centre in Devizes Road.
It is not a competition, but a showcase to parents, family, friends and the general public.
Prior to the performances the young people will take part in a techniques master class, with local international virtuoso Paul Turner, which takes place in the auditorium.
During the performance the young people will sit together in the first two rows and will be able to watch one another perform.
The event is in its fourth year and is a celebration of the talents of local young pianists. Last year’s concert was a sell-out, so early booking is advisable.
Tickets are £5 from Swindon Arts Centre Box Office on 01793 614837.
The evening is not suitable for under three year olds.
