Great Western Hospital is calling on people to rise to the challenge and take part in a 90 foot abseil on Saturday 8 December as part of a week of events to commemorate the tenth anniversary since it opened on 3 December 2002.
The celebrations will include a carol service, time capsule burial, and the unveiling of the artwork of babies born at GWH in the last 10 years, which includes over 200 photographs sent in by the public.
The money raised from the abseil will go towards the Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund to enhance patient services. An abseil in September 2011 raised over £7,000.
All participants will be asked to raise a minimum of £100. There are prizes for the individual and team who raise the most money.
