I am currently in the process of creating a new series of events which called The Town Gardens Little Big Festival, aimed at all in the community.
I have no funding, but am looking for people to provide workshops, games and entertainment as a way of bringing the community together and to promote individual businesses, clubs and societies. Most events are free, but some have a small charge just to cover staffing/material costs by said groups.
Family fun from April to September
The festival starts at the end of April and continues until September and is a series of small events (which means we don’t need road closures, extra toilets etc.) that over the months make up one big festival.
Each group is responsible for their own activities in terms of CRB, insurance and delivery and I will pull it all together and promote the event as a whole, with each group also using their social media to promote their own event. This is a new concept, but as funding is so lacking at the moment this is the only way forward and hopefully will be a win, win situation for all who take part.
Picnic in the Park
We also have a Picnic In The Park event in The Town Gardens Bowl on Wednesday 3 July from 3.30pm – 8.30pm. This will feature dance and vocalists from our school, feeder schools and the wider community
The programme will be released after Easter.
