Among the attractions will be a thrilling seven-and-a-half hour flying display featuring thunderous fast jets, wingwalkers, the RAF Red Arrows, historic warbirds and unique flypasts.
On the ground, the Air Tattoo will be launching three new interactive attractions called the Adrenalin Zone, Techno Zone and Vintage Village.
These will feature a wide range of entertainment for all the family including the Animal Action Sports Tour featuring stunt cyclists; a death-defying zip wire; children’s favourite Transformers, a Caterham driving experience, simulators, a fairground, musical entertainment plus the opportunity to meet many of the participating pilots and get close to their aircraft.
With forecasters predicting that the sunny weather will continue over the airshow weekend, organisers report a rush for tickets with a number of enclosures already sold out.
Mr Arquati added: “It’s important for people to remember that they need to purchase admission tickets in advance. They cannot just turn up on the day and buy them at the gate. Our advice is for people to secure their tickets as soon as possible as the Air Tattoo may sell out.”
