Prospect Hospice, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, is looking for thrill seekers willing to take part in Parachute for Prospect, a 10,000ft Tandem Skydive on Sunday 21 March.
The Hospice has arranged a day’s parachuting at Redlands Airfield near Wanborough, and wants would-be daredevils to raise sponsorship money with an exhilarating leap from 10,000ft!
“Last August saw lots of supporters take to the skies in order to raise funds for us. Skydiving has been a very popular fundraising activity for us in the past, and we’re hoping that at least 30 people will come forward to take part in honour of our 30th Anniversary,” says Prospect Fundraiser Julie Brogan. “I’ll be there on the day, not just supporting, but taking part myself too. I was so impressed by the commitment and bravery of our skydivers last August that I decided there and then that I would do it myself – and I’m petrified of heights!”
Fundraising events such as Parachute for Prospect are an important part of the Hospice’s drive to raise the £4.5m it needs to deliver its care and services within our community each year.
