1st Toothill Beavers proudly recognised six of their members with their Chief Scout’s Bronze Award at the end of last term.
“The children have worked very hard over the last 1 to 2 years to achieve this award. You may think that is just another badge but it is a lot more than that to them, as it’s the highest award a Beaver Scout can achieve,” explained Chris Flatt, Beaver Scout Leader for the group.
“These children will move across to Cubs after the summer holiday where they will continue their journey towards their Silver Award for which we wish them good luck. With the addition of our new Assistant Leader, we look forward to more Beavers following in their footsteps,” he added.
Beaver Scouts are offered a balanced programme covering sections such as promise, creative and friendship. There are various activities, badges and awards that all fit together to reach the goal of the Bronze Award before the Beaver moves across to Cubs. This is the first time in the group’s history that 6 children have achieved their award at the same time.
