Just a month after launching a new service to and from North Swindon Thamesdown Transport has had to make an immediate, but temporary, change to the train station stop for the 15 and 15a services.
In a statement the company says,
“Due to severe traffic congestion in Swindon town centre today resulting from the road works at the railway station forecourt, many of our bus services have been delayed.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We are working with the council highways team and the construction contractor to try to minimize further delays.
“As an immediate measure to reduce delays, Services 15 and 15A to North Swindon will not serve the railway station bus stop until further notice. Passengers should make their way to the bus station, bay4, and board there.
“The situation is being kept under review and more information will be provided if further changes to bus stops prove necessary.”
