Craft Co-ordinator required to deliver craft therapy sessions to TWIGS service users.
To work closely with other members of staff in developing activities that contribute to good mental health. To plan and supervise activities, and to be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day work. You will deliver 6 monthly reviews for your allocated case load.
Starting salary will be £15,000.00 ( pro-rata , 21 hours per week ) for a candidate with suitable previous experience , expertise and prior qualifications.
Be able to deliver and develop art and craft activities, take initiative and originate new ideas for work and ensure high quality standards are maintained.
Assist service users to develop a range of craft based skills
Work within the aims and philosophy of the service
Compile and review risk assessments for all activities within the craft studio
Ensure that high quality standards are maintained for items produced for sale
Collect and record appropriate statistics for the service and maintain client records
Oversee the stock control and ordering materials and work within the allocated budget
Produce routine management data and verbal or written reports as required by the Service Manager
Provide cover for other staff as reasonably requested by the Service Manager
Be responsible for maintenance of tools and equipment and ensure high standards of tidiness and cleanliness within the department
Ensure Health & Safety regulations and procedures are adhered to (as per the TWIGS Health & Safety Policy) to ensure the continuing health and safety of staff and clients, including the security of equipment and premises
