TV’s most popular vet Joe Inglis – well-known for his roles in Vets in Practice, The One Show and The Wright Stuff – is opening a brand new hi-tech veterinary practice in West Swindon.
There’s an open day to meet the staff and view the facilities on Sunday 19 August, 11am to 4pm and the Klinic will be open for business on Monday 20 August.
There will be free vaccinations on offer to the first 200 customers to join Vet’s Klinic.
Joe is heading up a team of veterinary experts who share his vision of combining competitively priced pet care and high levels of customer contact.
The state-of-the-art practice at Callenders Industrial Estate, close to Homebase at Bridgemead, will feature a glass fronted clinical area with a viewing gallery, pictured below. Pet owners will be kept in touch with the practice via live internet streaming, online pet medical records and flexible discounted booking via the web site, including making payments online.
Joe says: “Our exciting new concept in animal welfare will far exceed anything done in the industry before. We aim to transform the way in which vets currently practice, improve the education of pet owners, and put the focus on supporting the customer.”
Joe and his team will also be broadcasting internationally through the Vet’s Klinic online TV channel which will include live video feeds of treatments, case studies and Q&A sessions.
If pets have to be left at the practice staff will keep in touch with owners by uploading updates and images using iPads.
However Joe says the technology should only be seen as an aid to better pet care. ”We’re passionate about being transparent in our work whilst providing top-quality yet affordable treatment.”
