Local girls from all regions across the UK are being given the chance for their own little piece of fame by entering the fantastic TEENQUEENUK 2012 competition.
TEENQUEENUK was launched in December 2006 at the Clothes show live exhibition, NEC, Birmingham. Being the country’s largest fashion exhibition, it gave all those young ladies interested in fashion, beauty and modelling the opportunity to enter what is being labelled one of the most exciting modelling competitions around. The search for the 2012 contestants began in September 2011 and since then the monthly heat winners will be chosen to go through to the grand finale.
TEENQUEENUK not only enables girls from all walks of life and backgrounds the chance to try the exciting world of modelling, but also gives them the opportunity to take part in a professional photo-shoot at a top London studio. With a renowned team of top stylists and photographers and all attention on the girls, it is a once in a lifetime chance that most girls can only dream about.
The competition is split into two categories; Teen Queen for girls aged 16 – 19, the lucky girl crowned Miss Teen Queen 2012 will be given the incredible opportunity to go to an international pageant where she will represent her country. The younger age category Teen Princess is for girls aged 13 – 15, where the winner will go through to be given the chance to face campaigns by known fashion and beauty brands Fake Bake, PromPerfect Gowns as well as Additional Lengths Hair, who will be looking for the right girl to become the face of their brands. The winner of the competition will also be introduced to top modelling agency and may be given an amazing modelling contract to help kick start her career.
Girls will be both scouted at the Clothes Show and invited to apply to the competition of their own accord at the show or via the website www.teenqueenuk.com. From the selection process girls are then put forward for a public vote which will determine if they are to go through to the grand finale in August/September 2012 (date TBC).
The competition is supported by a whole host of fantastic sponsors which include: Amplified Clothing, Prom Perfect Gowns and Additional Lengths Hair. Not only does the competition give young girls the opportunity to go through to an exciting grand final with great prizes, but it also it supports The Mad Foundation who along with Teen Queen encourage the importance of fundraising and offer Miss Charity category winners the opportunity to take Teen Queen monies raised, to projects in Ghana. Last year’s winners saw first hand the school which Teen Queen had built in Shia, Ghana with monies raised from the competition. TEENQUEENUK is a firm supporter of the Madventurer Foundation www.madventurer.com and all entrants are encouraged to understand the importance of supporting charities and during the winner’s reigning year, they will be encouraged to help raise awareness and money for The Madventurer Foundation. Teen Queen will also be taking a handful of teenagers to some of the projects in Ghana to help make a difference.
