If you were at the Weird & Wonderful event held at M.E.C.A you would have been in for a treat, and if you weren’t you certainly missed out!
Emily Smith founder of Emily’s Pole Fitness in Swindon, organised and set up the show which saw many amazing performers showcasing all kinds of different acts from pole dancing, aerial hoop, aerial silks, burlesque, belly dancers and more.
Emily Smith said, "I like to embrace the unusual and wanted to bring something to Swindon that would get people excited and give people a chance to see something they have never seen before. The performers were absolutely amazing! We had all different types of performers from complete amateurs who have never performed before to professionals."
The event held on Saturday 31 August lasted just over 3 hours and saw a Stilt Walker greet guests on the door before the event started.
Daniel Rosen, a leading pole dance champion who performed on the evening said, "I had a fantastic time performing at such a well organised and friendly show. The crowd were brilliant and I saw a lot of very talented performers. It was an honour to perform for Emily at her show, she worked really hard to set the whole thing up and it was a great success!"
