To mark its 20th anniversary, Basepoint Business Centres asked primary schools near each of its 30 serviced office centres to come up with a celebratory design a cake in a ‘Birthday Bake-Off’ competition.
The competition ran from 12 May to 6 June with 8 regional winners across the south of England, East Anglia and Wales. Each won £200 in book tokens for their school.
But the overall design was Anton Wildschek, from Tregoze Primary School in Grange Park, Swindon who won a £20 book token and £600 book voucher for his school.
On Friday 4 July all the children assembled in the school hall to hear who the winner was, and unbeknownst to Anton, his mother was also in attendance to see him awarded for his creative efforts.
Basepoint Swindon manager Lyn Chapman. “We were absolutely delighted to a school less than two miles from our centre won this wonderful prize. Anton came up with a super design based on the Basepoint twentieth anniversary logo. He seemed quite surprised that his talents had been recognised; it was lovely to present him with his award.
"We hope that the book tokens come in useful at Tregoze Primary School, and that they continue to allow their creativity to flourish.”
Anton was also praised by Tregoze headteacher Claire Leach who said the whole school were proud and delighted the school was by his success.
