Customers and staff at Sainsbury’s Bridgemead in West Swindon recently put their shoulders behind Prospect Hospice to collect £91.87 during national Hospice Care Week.
The money was raised through collecting tins at each till and people making a donation to buy out of date flowers.
Prospect Hospice community fundraiser Amy Francome said contributions from community projects is extremely important to help the hospice meet the £5.8 million annual running costs. "Over 70 per cent of our funding comes from the community; the support of people in our region is essential to help us continue providing care to people at their end of their lives and their families.
"Big and small fundraising is greatly valued"
