Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WILSAR) have recently received a grant of £450 from the Haine & Smith Charitable Trust to pay for ‘major-disaster first aid kits’.
Steve Upton, Chairman of WILSAR said, “We would like to thank all those at Haine & Smith for their fantastic donation. The team are delighted, as these large first aid kits will mean that we are better equipped to respond to a major incident or disaster, where we may have to set up a triage point or deal with large numbers of casualties at once.”
The Haine & Smith Charitable Trust was established in 1995 in order to support the local communities surrounding their 19 practices. To date they have made over 250 donations to groups such as schools, charities, youth groups, homes for the elderly and hospitals.
Janet Hartwell, Clerk to the Trustees said, “The Trustees of Haine & Smith Charitable trust are so pleased to be able to support WILSAR’s vital work searching for missing and vulnerable people; particularly as the new first aid kits may even save lives. WILSAR do a tremendous job.”
