Westonbirt Arboretum’s Festival of the Tree from 23 to 30 August showcases the work of more than 130 crafts people and 12 talented sculptors.
It’s a great event to celebrate all things to do with trees and the products that come from them, as well as offering countryside attractions and arena activities.
The festival comes to a climax on Bank Holiday Monday with Sculptree, when the sculptors using chainsaws and chisels complete their transformation of 24 tonnes of sustainably felled wood recycled from the Westonbirt estate into elegant works of art.
The finished pieces will be auctioned in support of Tree Aid, the UK’s only forestry-based development charity which enables communities in Africa to work with their environments to become self reliant and fight poverty.
We have two pairs of tickets worth £16 on offer. Mail your answer to the question, in which county does Sculptree takes place? to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Closing date: 15 August.
