Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery shortly after 9pm on Monday 12 August that took place near Thamesdown Drive, Swindon.
An 18-year-old male was walking alone along a footpath parallel to Thamesdown Drive near to the junction with Oakhurst Way when he was approached by a group of approximately 5 males.
One of the males then threatened the victim with what appeared to be some form of firearm.
The victim was then assaulted before the male stole his mobile phone.
This man is described as white, with dark hair, dark facial hair/stubble, with black bushy eyebrows and between 16/17 years old. He is 5ft 11 – 6 ft, of medium build with a prominent nose. He was wearing a plain black peak cap, a dark grey hooded top with the hood up, dark baggy jeans and black trainers.
He spoke with a deep, local accent. The police would like to speak to the man that fits the description and looks like the e-fit photo, right, in connection with this incident.
The police helicopter was deployed along with ground patrols to locate the five men involved but they were not located.
The victim required medical treatment for injuries to both knees.
