Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision between a car and a cyclist inside the ASDA WalMart car park, at the North Swindon Centre, off Thamesdown Drive, Swindon, shortly after 4.15pm on Monday 1 July 2013.
A female cyclist was attempting to cross the zebra crossing from the cycle path when she was in collision with a car.
As a result of the collision the cyclist suffered injuries to her leg and arm. Her bike was also damaged.
Immediately after the incident, the female driver of the vehicle stopped and went over to the cyclist. After a short while, she got back in her car and drove away. She did not wait for the emergency services or pass on her contact information to the cyclist.
The car is described as a small blue car – similar to a Renault Clio. The registration plate on the rear of the car was missing and was displayed on the rear parcel shelf.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Gavin Brewster at the Wiltshire Police Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
