With only 107 days left until Christmas and with the countdown to this year’s Pantomime beginning, The Wyvern Theatre needs your help.
The Wyvern is launching a magical competition where schools will be asked to build Cinderella a carriage. The winning design being put on display at the theatre during this year’s hilarious pantomime Cinderella.
To get children into the Christmas spirit, we’re asking local schools to roll up their sleeves and channel their inner Fairy Godmother and create a modern take on the infamous pumpkin carriage. In honour of Keith Chegwin, the Wyvern’s very own Buttons to add some extra Christmas Sparkle all creations must be made using or incorporating buttons – not Jensen Button, not Cadbury’s buttons, but buttons from clothes.
“We certainly don’t expect people to start unstitching their clothes, but if you keep all the spare ones that come with your new clothes then we’ll happily takes those off your hands,” says Marketing Manager, Richard Loftus.
With some magical words “Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo” local people in true Christmas spirit can get involved and donate their unwanted buttons. All unwanted buttons can be delivered or dropped off to The Theatre’s Ticket Office.
