Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)
Swindon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is a new NHS organisation, and since 1 April 2013, it took responsibility for buying health services for the patients in Swindon and Shrivenham.
Clinical Commissioning Groups are led by GPs who are involved in the local community and make decisions focused on the needs of the local community.
Swindon CCG is asking for local patients and members of the public to share their views on how the CCG plans to spend the £235m of funding available on improving the health of the people of Swindon and Shrivenham.
Dr Peter Mack, Deputy Clinical Chair and GP in Swindon said: “The clinical commissioning group is working to improve the health of our local population, and ensure patients have an excellent experience of the care they receive”.
“We are asking the public to share their views on how we will spend this funding over the following 12 months, and members of the public are able to feedback through our website, or by post”
Swindon CCG is responsible for commissioning (buying) NHS services for the 219,000 people registered with the 26 GP practices in Swindon and Shrivenham and has a range of ways members of the public, and patients can get involved.
