Basepoint Swindon holds a regular free networking event with a light lunch at its business centre in West Swindon which provides an opportunity to promote your business, meet new contacts and hear a presentation of business or community interest.
On Wednesday 8 July, 12noon to 2pm, Paula Harrison and Gail Light from Swindon Borough Council will talk about Swindon Circles, where a little time makes a BIG difference.
The government backed scheme is about helping matching local people with time to give, skills to share and a willingness to make a difference with older people in the town. Whether you have 15 minutes a week, a day a month or something in between, Swindon Circles could put your precious time to great use.
Paula and Gail will talk about the way the project works, its successes, the obstacles it has faced and how individuals can get involved, and how to introduce someone in need to the service.
