Taking place across Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, Lotmead Farm, east of Swindon, will host shire horses and birds of prey for two days, enabling visitors to get a little closer than normal to these incredible animals.
Visitors will also be able to take full advantage of the Lotmead’s regular attractions, including the strawberry picking, dairy parlour, small animal enclosure and trail walk.
Lotmead will open as usual from 9.30am until 7.00pm, with the horses and hawks on display from 10.30am until 5pm. The viewing balcony of the milking parlour will be open from 3.30pm until 5pm.
John Meaden, Lotmead Farm manager, said: “There is a great line up of events taking place every weekend until mid-July at Lotmead. Horses and Hawks is always a great draw and is sure to make for a great family day out.”
Entry to the Pick Your Own area of Lotmead is free. There is a nominal charge of £1 per person, with free entry for toddlers, for the small animal enclosure, dairy parlour and trail walk, however families can buy a season ticket for unlimited visits throughout the summer for just £10.
