The Tour de France, steeped in tradition and prestige, is one of the most eagerly awaited cycling events on the annual sporting calendar. Over three weeks of gruelling racing, the world’s best riders compete for the coveted yellow jersey. If Le Tour has inspired you to dust off your bike and go for a ride, British Cycling and Sky, in partnership with Swindon Council is running a series of free bike rides in Swindon to get you pedalling this summer.
With Sky Ride Local, all the planning’s been done for you. British Cycling has found the best routes, trained up friendly Ride Leaders to guide and support you, and picked some cracking places to visit along the way. And with three different levels on offer, you certainly don’t need to be a pro rider to take part! There’s something for everyone – whether you’re building your confidence or looking to stretch your legs on a cycling challenge.

Eat, Drink & Ride – 6 miler
On Sunday 9 August there is the Local Pride – 30 miler
