The Royal British Legion will be holding the first regular a coffee morning in the Swindon Pop-in Centre, 52 – 54 Regent Street, Swindon SN1 1JS, between 10am and 12noon, starting on Friday 17 July.
They will then take place on the first and third Friday morning of each month. Drop in and meet the staff to find out about the services that RBL can offer to forces and former serving personnel and their families, over a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.
Learn how to join the Legion as a member, or how to support the charity, or just while away half an hour or so in the company of RBL staff and other former military personnel on these Friday mornings.
The Royal British Legion’s Debt and Money Awareness Week, 27 – 31 July
Benefits and Monetary Advisors from the Legion will be available all week to talk about the services which we can offer to help beneficiaries. Visitors will be shown the new Money Force website, which has lots of hints and tips about budget planning, saving for special events and how to plan for emergencies.
Staff can tell our visitors about the increasingly easy access to Credit Unions for MOD personnel, as Credit Unions are a brilliant way to save, and one of the safest ways to take out a loan, thus avoiding costly pay day loans.
To make an appointment so that advice can be given and issues discussed in detail, contact Isobel Thompson, Advice and Information Officer, 0808 8028080 or email: IThompson@britishlegion.org.uk
