Sunday 11 October saw the town’s runners out in force as they took part in the Swindon Half Marathon.
Starting at Pipers Way, the route took the runners down Marlborough Road, on to Coate Water and up on to the Ridgeway for the 13.1mile run through Swindon and the surrounding countryside.
First place went to Gary O’Brien of the Swindon Harriers, with a time of 1 hour, 16 minutes, and 22 seconds.
Everyone completing the events received an official medal and it was organised by the charity SEQOL, who provide quality care and support for adults in Swindon and the surrounding area.
