Families are invited to run, walk or cycle around Coate Water to raise money for charity later this month in memory of 11-year-old cyclist Dan Climance who tragically died in a road accident earlier this year.
The traffic incident happened on Station Road, Purton in June this year after the Bridlewood Primary School pupil was hit by a roadsweeper.
The event will be raising money for the road safety charity Brake and will be held on Sunday 29 November at Coate Water, with further events being held at The Sun Inn.
Families are invited to run, walk or cycle a lap around Coate Water and then join each other at the Sun Inn afterwards, where there will be a cake bake and raffle as well as a special furry guest.
The proceeds of the event will be going to the road safety charity Brake, and local company Withy King will be providing medals in the spirit of the event.
