Nothing could be more magical than the sight of steam engines King George V and City of Truro, standing proud inside a wonderland of Christmas festivities, with live choir music echoing throughout the halls.
This unique scene will be there for all to experience at Steam’s two-day Christmas event on 5 and 6 December, from 10am to 5pm.
Visitors get to see the two new arrivals as well as having the opportunity to browse over 40 luxury Christmas market stalls in Steam’s spacious Great Western Hall. Among the (mostly hand-crafted) fine gifts on sale will be jewellery, art, toys, skincare, home furnishings, preserves and confectionery.
Santa will be making an appearance too. In a cosy fireside setting inside Hawksworth Hall, children will hear delightful festive tales at Santa’s storytime sessions (bookable in advance and for a small extra charge), before receiving a special wrapped gift.
Concert seating is included in the entry price and a Christmas café completes the scene.
Entry to Christmas at Steam is offered at the very cheerful price of £3 for one adult and just £5 for two adults. It’s £1 for each child aged 3 to15 and under threes go free. Tickets can be purchased on the day.
