Thamesdown is urging Swindon shoppers and festive travellers to get on the bus this year and make the most of the services that will be running over the holiday period.
On Christmas Eve, normal Thursday services will operate, but with the last buses leaving at approximately 8pm. There will be no service on Christmas Day.
Thanks to encouraging passenger numbers, Thamesdown will again be providing bus services on Boxing Day. Services 1, 15, 17 and 22 will be running on their Sunday timetables. Special Sunday timetables will operate on Services 13, 14 and 16.
Normal service will resume from Saturday 27 December until Tuesday 30 December. On New Year’s Eve a normal Thursday service will operate until 8pm and there will be no services running on New Year’s Day.
The Thamesdown Travel Shop will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Sunday 27 December, Monday 28 December and New Year’s Day. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the Travel Shop will close at 1pm.
Throughout the Christmas period, families of up to two adults and three children can take advantage of Thamesdown’s special Family for a Fiver ticket, which provides a day’s unlimited bus travel within the Swindon urban area for only £5. The ticket can be bought from bus drivers.
