Prospect Hospice is inviting local groups to hear from one of its fundraising ambassadors during 2016, and to find out more about the charity’s work and its need to raise funds.
A select group of volunteers, all from professional backgrounds and primed with presentations about Prospect Hospice, are keen to be invited to join philanthropic and affinity groups who are looking to fill their speaker engagement calendar for the year. The talks, which last about 45 minutes, are intended to surprise people who might currently be unaware of the scale and the range of services the hospice offers, and how its work is funded.
Amy Francombe, Prospect Hospice’s community fundraiser said: “It is vital for Prospect Hospice to be able to communicate about our work, and the support that we need to be able to deliver it. Many local groups have warmly welcomed speakers from here in the past, but our ambassadors are ready to provide a full, up-to-date presentation on what we do now, which has changed considerably in recent years. We think they are very well placed to help us as we look to re-engage with local community groups in the year ahead.”
Prospect Hospice currently has six ambassadors who are willing to visit local groups for talks. To book a talk from a Prospect Hospice fundraising ambassador, contact Amy Francombe on 01793 816161.
