Have you ever thought about exploring a totally different culture, turning an average holiday into an adventure or meeting communities across the world?
If Yes, then Swindon based project Younite Outreach is organising a brilliant group trip to India to people of any age in October.
And you don’t have to be a student to take part.
It will be a journey through every aspect of India. Constantly on the move, you will visit the capital Delhi where you will visit Raj Ghat (the cremation and memorial site for Mahatma Gandhi), the Bahá’í House of Worship, known the Lotus Temple – pictured to0 – and visit Younite’s community partners based in one of the city slums where you will see the work of Providing Education To Everyone (P.E.T.E).
From the frenetic city environment – pictured – you will visit the sacred city of Haridwar, camp in the mountains of Rishikesh, where the Beatles met the Maharishi back in the 1960s, visit Ashrams, trek to waterfalls and take part in a 30 kilometres white water rafting experience along the river Ganges.
All this in 10 days, says trip organiser Fiona Simpson: “From its fast paced cities to its peaceful mountains, India is without doubt a place everyone should visit. There’s a whirlwind of emotions to be had and a lifetime of memories to gain.”
