Swindon North MP Justin Tomlinson and Minister for the Disabled will be officially opening of the Farmhouse Tea-room at Stanton Country Park on Thursday 31 March at 10am.
With the encouragement of Justin and the support of Swindon Borough Council and it’s Ranger Service, Every Cloud is making the most of being able to base itself in the farmhouse to deliver a programme of art and craft events, children’s activities and adult workshops – and to raise funds to support this programme by opening the tea-room every week-end from Easter to September.
Members of Every Cloud Maker’s Cooperative are not only talented artists and craftspeople, but they are volunteering to run the tea-room with help from other local volunteers and keep it stocked with a supply of delicious home-made cakes.
On Thursday it will also be a place to welcome members of the public and visitors to the park to have a ‘café chat’ between 10am and 12noon to find out more about the park and discuss it’s future management.
There may be an opportunity to meet and see the volunteer rangers in action and meet Swindon Beekeepers.
The park is unique for its flora and fauna and a designated nature reserve.
