A North Swindon woman has launched a series of Zumba sessions with a difference.
Alice Phillpott trained in Paris and reckons she can bring just a touch of that entente cruciale to her classes.
Former ballet dancer Alice, of Ulysses Road, said: “French Zumba is not all that different from our home-grown variety but nevertheless incorporates a few European-inspired moves and Franco-African music that gives my classes that extra va-va-voom!”
Alice, aged 31, appeared at various dance festivals throughout the midlands until going to Bath Spa University where she studied history and languages. She went on to become a linguist and freelance writer, travelling extensively and also pursuing her passion for dance.
Alice added: “I really think I can give dance fans a fresh insight on what is an increasingly popular form of exercise and relaxation. I can guarantee you will forget your troubles as soon as you enter the dance studio and hear those Latin rhythms!”
