This year’s Urban Rider Games at ATBShop Skate Warehouse on Friday 8 April, starting at 3pm, has a new sponsor and a new name: The Domino’s Urban Rider Games Reloaded 2016.
Organiser Diana Kirk said: “The cost of putting on the games is huge and we’re really thankful to James Swift, the owner of the Domino’s Pizza Swindon franchise, who is making a financial donation, in addition to supplying pizza and prizes. He has really saved the Urban Rider Games this year.
“ATBShop has been collecting prizes for the event which will be worth well over £2,000 across different competitions. We’re expecting even more competitors to take part. Last year over 100 extreme sports riders came to Swindon, from across the region; we even attracted one rider from Manchester.
“Swindon Travel Choices have loaned us a couple of smoothie exercise bikes where users peddle to generate their drink in the attached blender. Morrisons at Regent Circus in the town centre will be supplying all the fresh fruit and ingredients to help make 2016’s event super healthy and great fun.
“It’s going to be a day full of adrenaline for the entire family, as previous competitors battle it out to keep their titles for the second year in their BMX, Skate or Scooter discipline.”
The games take place at ATBShop Skate Warehouse, 1 Newcombe Drive, Hawksworth Estate, SN2 1DZ.
Anyone who pre-registers for the competitions will receive a free event T-Shirt worth over £15.
Friends and family are welcome to watch the event free of charge.
