Andrew Carr, aged 47, a Wiltshire Police Superintendent from Swindon, has received a summons to attend court in relation to 12 counts of fraud, forgery and false accounting.
He is due to appear at Bournemouth Magistrates Court on the 22 April 2016.
The charges are as follows:
4 x Fraud contrary to section 1 and 4 of the Fraud Act 2006
6 x Forgery contrary to section 1 and 6 of the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981
2 x False accounting contrary to section 17 (1)(a) of the Theft Act 1968
The charges relate to a treasurer role Supt. Andrew Carr undertook for a Parent and Teachers Association and Scout organisation.
He is currently suspended from the Force.
This matter was voluntarily referred to the IPCC in October 2015. An independent investigation was undertaken by Dorset Police.
