Three of the four brothers who work together in a local family firm will be taking part in an adrenaline-charged skydive to raise funds for Prospect Hospice, the charity that cared for their father in his final days.
Brothers Steve, Kev and Chris Hawkins, who all work for the family firm Alan Hawkins Estate Agents Limited in Royal Wootton Bassett, have all signed up to take part in the forthcoming Parachute for Prospect on Sunday 20 March, which will see them each perform a tandem skydive from above Redlands Airbase in Wanborough. Having set themselves a combined sponsorship total of £2,000, the brothers are well on their way to their target.
Kevin explained: “Dad received brilliant care at the end of his life at Prospect Hospice, and we were so impressed that we were determined to give something back to show our appreciation. As we were leaving the hospice after Dad passed, I saw a leaflet about Parachute for Prospect and I thought – we could do this, so we signed up soon after.”
Anna Smithson, challenge events fundraiser at Prospect Hospice, said: “Parachute for Prospect is a popular way for people to raise funds for us, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience which people often choose as a way of remembering a loved one, while raising funds for us. We are very grateful that Kevin, Steve and Chris have all chosen to support us by taking part in this event.”
