Town Gardens Bowls Club is holding two charity open days on Sundays 8 and 15 May from 12pm for people to come along and try out the sport.
The open days will be raising money for Brighter Futures and refreshments will be available and you will only need to bring along some flat soled trainers.
The leisure pursuit, that caters for all ages and genders, runs from April to September and it is set in one of Swindon’s most beautiful Victorian Gardens.
With Friendly Games home and away, a league programme, fun days, competitions and social occasions you can choose your own involvement whether you want to play competitively or recreationally.
There is also a structured programme and individual coaching available with the added bonus of reduced membership fees for the first year.
The club participates in The Old Town Festival and this year it will be in the Lawns on Sunday 12 June with a Bottle Stall.
If you would like to try the sport out then please visit the website www.swindontgbc.co.uk or pop along to any home fixture. Alternatively you can call the club secretary on 01793 528079.
