Swindon based travel organisation ‘Younite Outreach Project’ are holding an information meeting about their next 2 week trip to India in 2017.
This trip will be in line with the Easter holidays so will suit families, students and people who are restricted to travel at other times of the year.
It will be a journey through every aspect of India. Constantly on the move, you will visit the capital Delhi where you will visit Raj Ghat (a memorial site for Mahatma Gandhi), the Bahá’í House of Worship, known as the Lotus Temple and visit Younite’s community partners based in one of the city slums where you will see the work of Providing Education To Everyone (P.E.T.E).
From the frenetic city environment you will visit the sacred city of Haridwar, camp in the mountains of Rishikesh, where the Beatles met the Maharishi, visit Ashrams, trek to waterfalls and take part in a 30 kilometres white water rafting experience along the river Ganges.
All this in 14 days, says trip organiser Fiona Simpson: “Our group trips are open to absolutely anyone and are a great way to meet new people and travel with a group of likeminded companions. From its fast paced cities to its peaceful mountains, India is without doubt a place everyone should visit. There’s a whirlwind of emotions to be had and a lifetime of memories to gain.”
To find out more a meeting is being held on Thursday 1 June 6pm-7pm at Arclite House, Century Rd, Swindon SN5 5YN.
