Involve Swindon has been bringing businesses and charities together since 2004 based on their founding objective – to help employees volunteer.
The Swindon-based employee volunteering network, Involve Swindon, plans to showcase their recent achievements and attract new members as part of this year’s Volunteers’ Week celebrations in June.
Involve Swindon will host an event at the Urban Village Hotel in West Swindon for both businesses and charities. Current business members such as Zurich, Nationwide, Intel, Arval, Honda and Midcounties Co-operative are due to attend on the day, sharing business expertise with representatives from local charities on subjects like change management and public relations.
Local businesses or charities, who are interested in employee volunteering, are invited to join the event from 1pm on Monday 6th June.
Andy Tait, Director at Intel and member of the Involve Swindon Steering Committee says: “At Intel, we know that community involvement is a real driver for employee engagement and locally in Swindon over 50% of our employees get involved in some kind of volunteering each year. This is in no small part thanks to our long-standing partnership with Involve Swindon – they are the local experts when it comes to helping employees volunteer and I would encourage any business to consider how they could benefit from getting involved.”
