The free South West Business and Community Expo show, now in its fourth year, at STEAM Museum on Thursday 30 June will feature more than 80 exhibitors, keynote speakers, workshops and networking sessions.
One of the exhibitors will be a team from Swindon Council who will have information about apprenticeships and details about how the Careers and Enterprise Company is enhancing business engagement and collaboration with schools and colleges in the area.
Officers from Routes to Employment, which works with the Swindon Skills and Employment Board to create the right environment for business growth and increase the number of businesses employing apprentices, will also provide advice on offering work experience and how firms can develop their skills provision to meet the needs of its workforce.
Look out for them at stand 15 at the business event which will be open between 9am and 3pm.
This year South West Business and Community Expo has teamed up with Business West and keynote speakers include inspirational double amputee Afghanistan war hero Sgt Rick Clement; Apprentice runner-up Richard Woods; British rail’s first female CEO Jackie Chappell; best-selling author Brad Burton and award-winning young entrepreneur Julianne Ponan.
