A young man who attended the town’s Youth Dance Academy has taken the next step in his career at a series of shows in London.
Chris Thomas has just achieved his BA at the National Centre for Circus Arts and is performing until 29 June in an ensemble show at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park in East London.
The unique event features some of the circus’s top performers in an ethereal collaboration bringing circus artists, choral singers, designers, and musicians together for a show full of surprises.
An accomplished dancer focused on urban styles, Chris has specialised as a Cyr wheel performer at the NCCA.
He spent a year performing in Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi during a gap in his studies to gain experience. His final year solo devised performance entitled ‘Seize’ is based around Chris’ experience of epilepsy and the different stages of his seizures. Click to see his show
