Diets went out the window at Excalibur Communications in Peatmoor today (10 August) as 11 teenagers held a charity cake sale in the company kitchen.
The teenagers aged between 16 and 17 years old visited the blue chip company as part of their National Citizenship Service (NCS) and were raising money for Clic Sargent – the cancer charity for children and young people.
As part of their NCS the Swindon teenagers had already taken part in a outdoor activity week in Wales and a week of inspiration at Bath university and are now making a difference in their community over the next two weeks raising money for their chosen charity.
Other fundraising plans include helping people to pack their shopping at supermarkets and approaching other companies to sell the cakes.
