If you’d like to tackle a new physical challenge and raise money for cancer care, why not take part in one of Brighter Futures’ fundraising events?
The Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal needs help from local people in reaching it’s fundraising target of £2.9 million.
One of the upcoming events is the Ride for Radiotherapy on 11 September, where cyclists can take on a 30 mile, 70 mile or 100 mile route around Wiltshire. Riders completing the 70 mile route will face what a cancer patient faces on their daily drive to receive radiotherapy treatment.
Alternatively, the Hackpen Hill 10k trail takes place on the 18 September with participants able to run or walk the single lap route. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place and all participants will receive a goody bag and medal upon completion.
Both events will be well marshalled with water stations and rest stops if needed.
Brighter Futures Radiotherapy appeal has raised £875,000 so far of it’s target but needs support through fundraising and volunteering. To find out more visit: Radiotherapy Appeal update
