If so Swindon’s unique clothing adaptation charity, Dressability is desperate to recruit volunteers with a good level of sewing ability to keep up with requests for help from from all over the country.
Dressability, which is one of the Mayor of Swindon’s chosen charities this year, adapts high street clothing so that people with disabilities can look stylish. Every wearer’s requirements are different so sewers need to be able to imagine how garments will look after they have been picked apart and sewn again with velcro instead of buttons and easy release fixings rather than zips.
