On Wednesday 21 September New College will open its doors to Swindon and Wiltshire’s up and coming achievers that have been identified as being very strong academically.
The event takes place at New College with a 6.15pm arrival time for presentations to start promptly at 6.30pm.
Our High Flyers scheme is aimed at talented students that are on course to achieve seven or more A/A* or 7-9 grades at GCSE. The scheme provides expert assistance, fast track course options and dedicated one-to-one tutor coaching, among other benefits.
Year 11 students and parents will be provided with information about our High Flyers scheme, the gifted and talented opportunities available at new College and the support provided for Oxbridge and top university applications.
In 2016 81% of our Top 100 students achieved three A*-B grades at A Level, whilst at BTEC, 48% of students achieved Distinction. Previous High Flyer Christ Stone achieved 2 A*s and 3As in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Music Technology and Chemistry.
Chris Stone: “My time at New College has been amazing. All the High Flyers staff were really helpful. If you are willing to put in the effort, they are prepared to give up their time and give you all the support you need. The assistance they provided is priceless.”
