In a new play from Swindon’s Prime Theatre group, Swindon Borough Council’s chambers will become the stage for a post-apocalyptic performance like no other.
The year is 2046. A young girl has drowned due to oceans rising. London is under floods. Swindon is now the capital of New Britain. Adults have messed up. Young Citizens are rebelling. That is all according to Prime Theatre, who are bringing in members past and present to play out this revolutionary tale of Orwellian nature.
This original new play written by Jasmine Jones follows a group of young people looking to have their voices heard. You can experience the revolution in this site specific performance as London refugees and Swindonians unite to infiltrate the new parliamentary home at Swindon’s Civic Offices.
Performances will be taking place on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 October at 7:30pm and Saturday 29 October at 2pm and 6pm.
