Construction work is nearing completion at Bellway’s Ridgeway Park development in Wroughton.

Only one property remains for sale in the development, which includes 103 new homes at the 14-acre site off Marlborough Road, with 86 of these now occupied by their new residents.

Work began at Ridgeway Park at the end of 2020. A sales centre opened in 2021, followed by a four-bedroom Philosopher showhome in April 2022.

Christel Hawkins, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “Although it is a new development, Ridgeway Park already has a real sense of community.

“As more people have moved into their homes, it has been heartening to see neighbours getting to know each other.

“The outdoor spaces are great places for people to get together and we have provided more than one-and-a-half acres of landscaped areas. This includes a central children’s play area and a wooded area with protected trees.

“These public spaces are designed to give residents and the wider community a chance to enjoy the natural world on their doorstep.”

As part of the planning agreement for the development, Bellway is contributing more than £50,000 towards off-site allotments and more than £45,000 to improve off-site sports facilities in the village.

Christel said: “One of the big attractions of Ridgeway Park is its location on the edge of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is within a thriving village which offers shops, leisure facilities and schools for all ages within walking distance.

“Despite its enviable countryside setting, commuters are well-served as Swindon is just three miles away and junctions 15 and 16 of the M4 are both also four miles from the development for journeys west towards Bristol or east towards Reading.

“The final home is a three-bedroom detached Mason house, with an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area and separate living room and utility room. This represents the last opportunity for house-hunters to secure a high-quality new property on this sought-after development.”

Once complete, Ridgeway Park will have created 72 private homes and 31 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.

The Mason is priced at £402,995.
